Operation Rahma 13 – EGYPT CRISIS APPEAL

For over a week, protests have erupted across Egypt, with hundreds of thousands of demonstrators gathering across Cairo, Alexandria, Suex, Mansoura, Sharqiya and elsewhere. As this crisis continues, the North American Muslim Foundation has launched an appeal to help all of the people being affected by the unrest.
Intense confrontations are taking place with state security forces. A vast security clampdown has been put in place as the government blocked the internet, mobile phone and SMS services, with the hope of disrupting demonstration planning earlier in the week.
As a result of the humanitarian implications, NAMF has created a relief fund to aid those affected by the uproar occurring in Egypt. The demonstrations and protest taking place, if not already, can quickly lead to anxiety, destruction, and turmoil for the Egyptian people. It has already been reported that the Egyptian disturbance threatens to undermine the country's economic growth and further weaken the government. Food price inflation is on the rise and this will result in an even greater percentage of the population experiencing hunger, and even homelessness as housing deteriorates.
The North American Muslim Foundation is exclusively focused on providing humanitarian aid to those in crisis, outside of any political stance. Our goal is completely dedicated to providing the vulnerable people of Egypt with much needed relief supplies. The last relief effort spearheaded by NAMF, your registered Muslim Canadian NGO for the last 38 years, has resulted in the providing relief and rehabilitation to thousands of people around the world.
